2nd June 1991. Godflesh, Treponem Pal, Bag Man. Edwards No.8. £3.50.

Bag Man were a good support and this was kind of a Brummie Industrial get together.

Rate 8 out of 10.

Treponem Pal were like a Godflesh-by-numbers. Good but not original.

Godflesh as previously stated are an awesome live experience. They will either bore you senseless or draw you in so deep you are lost in their aural assault. Two People – So Much Noise. At their unique gigs you would see the odd person or two who’d never seen them live. They might watch a bit bemused then it happened – they’d be drawn in to that incredible sound – a delight to witness.

I think this was their Slateman / Wound ’91 era and arguably their peak.

Rate 10 out of 10.

N.B.

Read the YouTube feedback written by Polyfusia (the last comment at time of writing). I think their comment sums the band up very well indeed. Play Loud & Enjoy.
