2nd October 1993. Opium. Support from The Last Of The Mad Skankers. Jug Of Ale. Moseley. £2.00.

The Last Of The Mad Skankers arguably a fantastic name for a band. The music was okay too. Good support material.

Rate 5 out of 10.

Opium were a mates band (three mates to be accurate and a guy I barely knew singing). They almost got signed to put out a record I think but were a bit cagey about the details. Quite heavy grunge era material with an overshowy frontman. Mental bass playing, hair and rock. How times change.

Rate 6 out of 10.
