Big Black – Fists Of Love

In 1986, Big Black released Atomizer. In some ways a collection of songs rather than a proper debut album. A band that are admittedly hard to ‘get’ but they really have a lot of power, menace and more. Almost too influential. Godflesh, The Pixies and in ways the whole following late 80’s hardcore scene owe a lot to Big Black. Atomizer is a killer record. Pure. All that is good about music and art is here. Tension at bursting point captured even if sadly little footage of the band exists…
